Manhole Cover Cushion

Quickly and easily silence noisy manhole covers.

This product is a soft, pliable, round cord, which is impregnated with asphalt and is approximately 1/2″ in diameter. It will silence noisy manhole covers and reduce cover and seat wear. Cut the 96″ length as needed and leave an overlap at the splice joint.

ConBlock MIC

This is a liquid additive for Parson MH Liner and Parson CA Liner 100 to eliminate the growth of bacteria that causes microbial induced corrosion (MIC) in manholes and other similar structures.

As a concrete treatment, ConBlock MIC is extremely effective against mold, fungi, algae and damaging bacteria. Unlike sacrificial or leaching chemistries, the technology of ConBlock MIC controls microorganisms with a chemistry that remains a permanent part of the concrete structure. The active ingredient in Con Block MIC – 3-(trihydroxysily!) propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium chloride – relies on a charged ion and a unique spiked molecular structure to create an uninhabitable environment for the microorganisms. These molecular spikes are undetectable to human touch but overmatch single-cell organisms. In nature, most microbes carry the opposite ionic charge, so they are physically and irresistibly drawn into contact with ConBlock MIC, which punctures the cell walls of the offending microbes.

Parson Manhole Insert

Parson Manhole Inserts are manufactured from high-density, high-molecular-weight polyethylene and are proven effective to reduce and prevent excessive surface water inflow entering the collection system through the manhole lid. Inflow caused by heavy rainfall is significantly reduced, lowering plant operating and treatment costs. Parson Manhole Inserts are a practical solution to expensive plant expansions and high sewage treatment costs.

ADVANTAGES

  • No-valve method of ventilation available
  • Single or double-valve ventilation system available
  • No corrosive parts
  • No maintenance required
  • Keeps grit, sand, salt, chemical spills, foreign objects, road oils, etc. from entering collection systems
  • Cost-effective alternative to replacing existing manhole covers with “watertight” covers

A factory-installed, closed-cell neoprene or cross-linked polyethylene gasket is available upon request.
