Municipal Sewer Rehabilitation Solutions

The Challenge: Aging Municipal Infrastructure

Rehabilitating and restoring infrastructure often poses funding and accessibility challenges. That’s why trenchless underground pipe and sewer repair is ideal. It’s less expensive and it’s less invasive. And with minimal surface disruption, it provides the ability to restore pipes that lie beneath structures, other utilities, water, and sidewalks.

We engineer our products and services toward restoring aging infrastructure without the need for digging.

Trenchless Rehabilitation Products

With strategic locations throughout North America, we offer products for a broad range of wastewater, stormwater, and water infrastructure. Depending on the size, location, condition of the pipes or structures, we will offer an engineered solution recommending the best trenchless method to do the job.

Our products address leak stoppage, corrosion, structural restoration, relining and more. Municipality maintenance crews and installation contractors that meet a city’s requirements can use our industry-leading equipment to clean, repair, and restore infrastructure.

Geopolymer Relining and Structural Restoration of Aging Sewer Interceptors in Queens, NY

Problem: In 2012, Hurricane Sandy wreaked havoc up and down the East Coast. In addition to the visible surface damage, the unseen — including water and sewer infrastructure — was greatly impacted, especially the aging systems. A 6,600 LF section consisting of Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) and rounded bottom box culvert required a fully structural restoration.

Solution: The variance in sizes and shapes called for using a versatile and advanced lining technology. QLS®, featuring GeoKrete® geopolymer, was the answer. Requiring only a small construction footprint, GeoKrete® can be spin cast, spray-applied and troweled. In this situation all three methods were used to successfully restore the box culvert, without the need for digging and replacing.
